IT Support Team Lead

Location:
Aberdeen
Salary:
£30-40k
REF:
CMK1439
Status:
Permanent

About the Role:

We are delighted to be working with a growing, specialist IT business in the Aberdeen area as they look to add to their team following a succession of contract wins. To continue supporting this growth and ensure clients are receiving the level of service they are used to, they are looking to recruit an IT Support Team Lead who will sit between Senior Management and the core IT Engineering team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and mentoring the support team while also handling hands-on technical tasks. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure service SLAs are met, and act as a key escalation point for technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT support technicians
  • Ensure timely resolution of tickets and maintain high service standards
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Monitor team performance and develop training plans
  • Collaborate with senior management to improve processes and tools
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Maintain and improve documentation and knowledge bases
  • Foster a positive, proactive, and collaborative team culture

You don't need to be the highest technical authority in the business here, but if you have a couple of years of hands-on experience, coupled with the communication and interpersonal skills to lead a small team, then I would be keen to hear from you.
