We are delighted to be supporting this business as they look to appoint an Accounts Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient day-to-day financial processing within a busy, collaborative environment.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, supporting month-end activities, and helping maintain strong financial controls across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase and sales invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and prepare payment runs.
- Work closely with Procurement to ensure POs are managed effectively and support a smooth purchasing process.
- Review and process employee expenses and arrange payments.
- Process and reconcile company credit card transactions.
- Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to maintain accurate rental logs and ensure correct billing.
- Prepare banking journals and assist with month-end bank reconciliations.
- Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of year-end audit schedules.
- Provide support with payroll processing as required.
- Contribute to system enhancements and implementations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes.
- Undertake additional finance tasks as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
- Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central advantageous).
- Confident user of Microsoft applications.
- A proactive, organised individual who can manage workloads and meet deadlines.
