About the Role:

FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy team in Aberdeen on a full time basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll provide vital support to our finance team, ensuring the smooth running of daily accounting operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career in finance while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities in this role:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Assisting with credit control and chasing payments
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Responding to supplier and customer queries
  • General administrative support to the finance team

Experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
