FT Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of our Aberdeenshire based client for a Quality Control & Assurance Engineer, working within their ROV division. This role can be based out of either their Westhill or North Yorkshire offices, with regular travel to client sites around the Aberdeen and Midlands areas.
Main duties include:
- Inspection and verification of mechanical, welded and machined components on-site and at supplier locations
- Carry out dimensional, visual, coating and weld checks
- Support engineering change processes & continuous improvement
- Manage documentation, certification packs and non-conformance records
- Contribute to supplier quality oversight and corrective/preventive action tracking
Suitable candidates should have the following:
- ISO auditor qualification
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 / 45001 / 14001
- 5–10 years’ QC experience in a mechanical/manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Familiarity with lean tools (PDCA, DMAIC, Six Sigma, 5S)
- Good communication skills and confidence using MS Excel/Access
- Full UK driving licence, and the willingness to travel to company and client sites around the UK
Candidates should be based locally to Aberdeen or North Yorkshire, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
