About the Role

FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for a Part-time QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Administrator to play a vital role in fostering a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace within our clients business.

In this role you will support the QHSE Manager to implement and maintain the company's QHSE management systems. The QHSE Administrator will assist in the collection, organisation, and analysis of QHSE data, supports audits and inspections, and helps promote a strong culture of safety and continual improvement across the business. This is a part time role (25 hours per week) and offers a great opportunity for a strong administrative professional who is keen to work within a QHSE department.

Duties

  • Coordinate contractor onboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation is collected and reviewed by the QHSE Manager.
  • Carry out routine site inspections and internal audits to monitor QHSE compliance
  • Work closely with internal teams to drive the timely close-out of actions arising from audits, incidents, inspections, and non-conformances
  • Support external audit preparation by gathering, organising, and presenting relevant evidence
  • Manage and keep up to date the company’s carbon footprint tracking system
  • Provide administrative and organisational support for QHSE campaigns, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s QHSE intranet platform
  • Assist with the development and ongoing administration of the company competency management system
  • Organise and monitor QHSE training programmes, inductions, and associated records
  • Compile and analyse QHSE performance data for periodic reports and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and forms.
  • Support the coordination of statutory inspections across site facilities
  • Assist in managing and updating the lessons learned system
  • Arrange meetings and capture minutes for safety briefings, management reviews, toolbox talks, and other QHSE-related communications

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience within a QHSE focused role (admin or coordinator level) is desirable but not essential
  • Strong administrative experience to be able to support the QHSE business function is essential
  • Hands on, hardworking and adaptable attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in relevant software including Microsoft 365 software suite
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge in the discipline of Quality, health & Safety and the environment
  • An awareness of ISO standards 9001 / 14001 and 45001 is desirable but not essential
