FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for a Mortgage Advisor to join their Ellon or Inverurie office. This role is full time, however our client is open to part-time candidates (no less than 28 hours). In this role you will provide mortgage advice to clients involved in property transactions. Your role will be integral in offering a seamless end-to-end service, guiding clients through their mortgage options while ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Provide regulated mortgage advice to clients purchasing, remortgaging, or investing in propertyAssess clients’ financial situations and recommend suitable mortgage productsAct as the main liaison between clients, lenders, and legal teams to ensure a smooth processWork closely with conveyancers and solicitors to align financial advice with legal documentation and timelinesKeep up to date with market trends, products, and changes in mortgage regulation (FCA guidelines)Ensure all compliance, documentation, and fact-finding procedures are completed accurately and in line with firm and regulatory standardsMaintain accurate client records and update internal case management systems
Requirements and qualifications required for this role:
CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent qualificationMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Mortgage AdvisorStrong understanding of residential and buy-to-let mortgagesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to explain complex financial products in a client-friendly mannerHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailWorking knowledge of FCA regulations and mortgage compliance proceduresExceptional clients relations skills, to build rapport and trust with clients for return business and to uphold the high standards of the firms reputation The ability to work independently and under pressure with strict time constraints at times
