FT Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our client on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting health, safety, environment, and quality standards across our operations. The HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies to ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements, fostering a culture of safety and excellence throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Lead or assist incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, audit findings, and incident investigations for management review
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health & safety procedures, emergency response protocols (including first aid), and environmental practices
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure organisational readiness
- Monitor compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies through audits and inspections
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing best practices across all departments
- Working closely with HSEQ Manager to set the policies, procedures and forms and assist in the development of key HSEQ objectives for the company
Requirements
- Proven experience in health, safety, environment, or quality assurance roles within an industrial or corporate setting (minimum 3 years required)
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is essential
- Grad IOS Memberships and Full CPD as well as IOS Internal Auditor qualification is also essential for this role
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation for various audiences
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify underlying issues behind incidents or non-compliance
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously
