About the Role

FT Recruitment are currently supporting our established client to recruit for a Crewing Coordinator to join their team and manage the end-to-end crewing activities for their offshore operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling offshore survey personnel logistics, crew changes, and compliance requirements for vessels operating in subsea operations. This is a 12 month FTC role however may turn into a permanent role after the initial contract. This role does offer hybrid working (2 days per week) and can be flexible in regard to start/ finish times.

  • Key responsibilities of this role (but are not limited to):
  • • Develop and maintain crew rotation schedules for assigned vessels

    • Coordinate crew mobilization and demobilization in line with operational requirements

    • Monitor and manage crew availability to minimize downtime and optimize resources

    • Arrange travel, visas, accommodation, and other logistics for offshore crew

    • Ensure timely delivery of all required documentation (seafarer books, medicals, certifications)

    • Act as the primary point of contact for offshore personnel regarding assignments

    • Verify crew qualifications, STCW certifications, and medical fitness before deployment

    • Maintain up-to-date records in crewing systems/databases

    • Liaise with vessel Masters, HR, Operations, and Clients to align crewing needs

    • Coordinate with training departments to ensure mandatory courses and inductions are completed

    • Support incident reporting and crew-related investigations when required

    • Support crew welfare initiatives and address concerns proactively

    Requirements for this role:

    • At least 3–5 years’ experience in a similar crewing coordination/ supervisor role, preferably in offshore oil & gas, marine logistics, or renewable energy sectors

    • Strong understanding of multi-disciplined vessel crews, offshore survey personnel and crew rotation planning

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

    • A proactive individual who works well in a fast paced environment

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse crew and stakeholders

    • Proficient with crewing management systems, MS Office, and digital document handling

    • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing operational needs

    • Experience managing personnel across multiple nationalities and regions

    • Familiarity with visa/work permit requirements for offshore crew mobilizations

    • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to crew welfare and retention
