About the Role

FT Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Buyer based in Perth on a Permanent, Full Time basis.  

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a purchasing environment to support the procurement function, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively.

Main duties include:

  • Supporting Buyers with sourcing materials, plant, tools and equipment
  • Obtaining supplier quotations and maintaining pricing information
  • Raising and processing purchase orders and procurement documentation
  • Maintaining supplier and subcontractor records
  • Monitoring deliveries, lead times and order status
  • Assisting with invoice checks and tender documentation
  • Supporting procurement reporting and compliance activities

Suitable candidates should have the following:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement environment (Construction sector preferred)
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving License
  • CSCS card for site visits (Desirable)

Candidates should be based locally to Perth, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
